ABOUT
I grew up on a small farm in the rural community of Cooksville, Wisconsin. At 16 I began working in the shop making furniture with my father, Henry during the summer months and after school. I started by learning how to do finish work, polishing steel and sanding wood. Over the years I expanded my skillset learning how to fabricate and do patina. After 17 years working together, my parents retired from the furniture business. In 2018 I relocated the business to southwest Colorado. I continue to make some of Henry’s furniture designs as well as creating some of my own. I make each piece of furniture and sculpture by hand, starting with raw materials such as rough sawn lumber and sheet metal.
Recently I’ve been sculpting and learning new patina methods in addition to making furniture. To view my new sculptures and patinas, please go to the sculpture section.
